City Presents Beautification Award
Valley West Recognized for Community Design
BOZEMAN, Mont. (December 6, 2007)—The master –planned community of Valley West was recently recognized for its design and integration of community and nature. The project developer, The Aspen Group was presented with the award by the City of Bozeman Beautification Advisory Board Thursday, October 25, for “Community Park Design”. The recognition is the second for this award winning subdivision, which was honored in the spring by The Sonoran Institute for innovative community design.
“This is quite an honor,” states Greg Stratton, associate vice president for developer, The Aspen Group, and Valley West project manager. “We have taken great care to integrate the natural beauty of the Montana landscape into our parks and trails for the homeowners of Valley West and Bozeman residents to enjoy.”
Valley West’s innovative land plan includes approximately 93 acres of open space, two lakes and streams interconnected by a four-mile trail system. Residents also enjoy large neighborhood parks with play structures, sport courts and soccer fields, circular intersections for pedestrian safety, and covered bridges and a community pavilion.
Valley West includes a wide mix of housing options and architectural styles. The project broke ground in 2002 and is now in phase III. With 300 plus homes already complete, there is a variety of homes and lots available for sale. At completion the project will include up to 1,630 living units made up of condominiums, duplexes, row housing and both small and large single-family homes.
